In the summer of 1994, I was beset by an adversity that caused me to begin earnestly seeking the Lord which then led me to begin reading a Bible that I had found no reason to begin reading before.

I knew that if I wanted any favors from my Maker, I first had to make sure that I was in right standing with Him but no matter how morally upright of a life I tried to live, I found myself falling short of God's standard of moral perfection.

In June of 1996, I finally asked Jesus Christ to be my Savior and Lord to make sure that I was forgiven of all of my sins. My conversion may not be as dramatic as that of others and I know my testimony may seem rather boring in comparison to those of others who have turned away from their sins to Christ, but there was nonetheless a change taking place inside of me all the same; a change that caused me to want to please and honor God in everything I did and to be of whatever service I could be on behalf of the Gospel and the Kingdom of Heaven.

I began ridding myself of those things I knew and found to be displeasing to the Lord. Lies were being exchanged for truth, priorities were shifting from worldly interests to heavenly interests, and purpose was placed in my life that I had never known before.

By what can only be described as an act of divine intervention, I met my wife in 2005 who I then married two years later and we have been happily married ever since.

Not long after coming to Christ, I felt the calling to be some sort of a writer (both fiction and non-fiction). I am not the most eloquent speaker and therefore find writing to be my stronger point and a more effective means in preaching the Gospel and the Word of God contained in His divinely inspired scriptures. (2 Tim. 3:16)

I have a passion for the Word of God and apologetics (defending the faith) and believe strongly that the Bible is the authoritative, inerrant, inspired Word of God from the first verse in Genesis to the last verse in the book of Revelation.

Upon the creation of my blogsite, Contender's Edge, which is admittedly an amateur site, I adopted the pseudonymn D.H. Manheim for security reasons but not for my sake but instead have done so for the sake of my wife, family, friends, and anyone associated or perceived to be associated with me in some form or fashion so as to shield them from any potential harassment and harm that they might otherwise be made vulnerable to if I were to reveal my actual name.

Personally, I do not like having to use a pseudonymn but due to the growing hostility towards Christianity, even in the United States where I reside, I have found it to be a necessary precaution.

I will admit that there are things going on within the body of Christ that ought not be so named amongst professing Christians that do get me fired up and I am not afraid to call things out for what they are, but at the same time, I recognize that there are matters that do require a fair and objective approach which are not addressed by scripture.

There are times when you may find me gentle and gracious and then there will be other times when you may find me taking a stance more firm and without any non-sense.

Contender's Edge does not allow any unauthorized persons or parties to sign any files or documents in its name or in the name or pseudonymn of its founder for any reason and will pursue legal action against any person, party, or organization attempting to sign and file any documents in its name or in the name or pseudonymn of its founder that are found tied to any activity that could bring harm to the credibility and reputation of the Contender's Edge blogsite or its founder and operator.
