Hazony has also served as director of the John Templeton Foundation's project in Jewish Philosophical Theology, as well as a member of the Israel Council for Higher Education committee. Dr. Hazony has published many books, his 2018 work, The Virtue of Nationalism, being awarded Conservative Book of the Year in 2019. He also maintains a regularly published blog, Jerusalem Letters, that explores the topics of philosophy, politics, Judaism, Israel, and higher education. Other writings by Dr. Hazony have been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and American Affairs.
Breaking: Special Counsel Finds Mark Zuckerberg’s Election Money Violated Wisconsin Bribery Laws

early $9 million in Zuckerberg grant funds directed solely to five Democratic strongholds in Wisconsin violated the state’s election code’s prohibition on bribery. That conclusion represents but one of the many troubling findings detailed in the report submitted today by a state-appointed special counsel to the Wisconsin Assembly.
Last August, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos authorized the Office of Special Counsel, headed by retired state Supreme Court justice Michael Gableman, to investigate concerns about election integrity and the 2020 election. Gableman delivered an interim report to the state assembly on November 10, 2021. Earlier today, the special counsel provided a second interim report to the state legislative body, noting the report “is final in the sense that it provides a list of recommendations with time for the Legislature to act before the close of its session in March.”
While the special counsel’s nearly 150-page report closed with recommendations for the state’s legislative body, Gableman stressed from the get-go that the report did not seek to re-analyze the re-count that occurred in late 2020. Nor was the report’s purpose to challenge certification of the presidential election. Rather, the report represented a small step toward fulfilling “the duty of all citizens of our State and our nation to work hard to secure our democracy for this generation and the next,” the special counsel explained.
From the details exposed in Monday’s special counsel report, the state legislature has much work to do to address “the numerous questionable and unlawful actions of various actors in the 2020 election.” The first unlawful action, according to the report, concerned the payment of grant funds to five Wisconsin counties that were used to facilitate voting. That arrangement, Gableman wrote, violated Wis. Stat. § 12.11, which prohibits election bribery by providing it is illegal to offer anything of value to or for any person in order to induce any elector to go to the polls or vote.

Vice President Joe Biden is now in doo doo after government documents have been discovered at one of his homes. They say the documents could be planted, stolen, a national security threat or just plain illegal for him to have. What will come of it? Is this going to be like the John Durham investigations with lots of fanfare and zero results? Is this a ploy to get Biden to step down? Who knows, but Biden is not going to prison for this.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took time out of his busy war schedule to speak at the Golden Globes, which was a ratings disaster. Zelenskyy reassured the audience, “There will be no third world war.” Zelenskyy has been touting how well Ukraine is doing against Russia. In the propaganda world, Ukraine is doing great. In the real world, it is still sucking. Speaking of sucking, now military brass is starting to worry about sucking U.S. war stockpiles dry after sending more than $100 billion in military help to Ukraine. There is no end in sight to the war or the money funding it.
Everybody is expecting the Fed to stop fighting inflation and start cutting interest rates. The latest CPI data says that is not going to happen anytime soon. Inflation is still more than three times above the 2% target rate at 6.5%. Also, services inflation soars to its highest level in 40 years. Rent inflation is also headed straight up. Expect more Fed rate increases–not cuts.
