Regardless of what happens, however helpful it may be, we as Christians should not rely upon a court’s permission to live in accordance to our faith. The Apostles and their successors did not. The reformers did not. And multitudes of Christians around the world who face persecution for their faith do not rely upon permission from their respective governments to live in accordance to God’s law since those who persecute us for our faith will stand before God and give an account for the things that they have done, just as we ourselves will have to give an account for how faithfully we have served Christ.
