TO VOTE OR NOT TO VOTE? IS THERE ANYONE WORTH VOTING FOR?

While I do not believe that voting in an election once every 5 years is enough to bring about any meaningful positive change to the current degenerated state of affairs, I understand and accept that there are many who feel that electoral politics is the only way to realise a better Malaysia.

This belief has been programmed and conditioned into us for a very long time. The belief that democracy — essentially a numbers game, a grandiose popularity contest — is the best way to run a society and decide who gets to be in charge. The belief that by partaking in a voting ritual, one can confer the right to another to not only rule over oneself, but also the right to rule over others. And that this supposed “right” to rule over others can and should be backed by the threat of “legal” violence in the name of the State / Government.

This collectivist, intra-”The Matrix” belief runs counter to the belief in the sovereignty of the individual; a core idea that we here in MFM try to impart and inculcate within those who have the natural inclination towards the values of Truth, Sovereignty and Freedom.

You are sovereign. You own yourself. You are empowered. You are intelligent and able to think your own thoughts, live consciously, pursue the things that are important to you. You claim fully your free-will and, as a consequence, ultimately claim full personal responsibility over your own decisions and your own fate.

This is a worldview with a high internal locus of control. It is intentional, purposeful.

Deeper, you are answerable only to your divine Creator and that His favour and validation is all you should concern yourself with (this is the spiritual base of many, if not all, of the founding and core members of MFM) — as opposed to trying so hard to receive the agreement and approval of as many other human beings as you can (the implied objective good of democracy).

It is this knowledge and mindset that we aspire to instill in all of our followers. This, I believe, is manifold more important than agonizing about which candidate to vote for in the next election, and hoping that a bunch of career politicians will suddenly have the desire, capability, moral aptitude and spine to “Save Malaysia”. They never have and they never will.

But alas, that path of self-reliance arising from a deep sense of personal sovereignty and self-ownership is not one that most people want to walk. People want a saviour, a hero-figure. Or at least, someone they can give their trust to to represent their interests.

The sentiment is understandable, given the context of the deep programming to believe in the legitimacy of Authority / Government that we've all been subjected to for decades, if not centuries.

Hence, if you feel that you have to vote for someone in the upcoming elections, I say this:

Set strict standards and vote only for candidates that have acted correctly and with integrity in actually representing the interests of the people. They are very easy to spot now, because there are so very few of them.

If such a candidate does not exist in your constituency, you're better off staying at home reading a book, tending to your garden or doing whatever else activity that can give you an actual benefit for your time and effort.

Resist the lame and short-sighted “lesser evil” argument. If you knowingly vote for evil, no matter how “lesser” you believe it to be, you are effectively voting for and condoning evil.

When you vote for evil and eventually get evil inflicted upon you — you will have fully deserved it. As you sow, you will reap. This may sound harsh, but it is true.

In that spirit, I know of 3 candidates whom I believe are worth voting for. I've met all of them in person. Their cause is just, they are genuine, brave and possess good character. And most importantly, they have walked their talk thus far.

Their names are in the comments below.

Alas, whether you choose to vote or not, remember: power resides where you believe it does.

What an option - Yes or Else

Have you been conned?

Eating at home with food cooked using coconut oil or animal fats does not affect my middle finger...

Believe it or not! This is still a requirement for a church youth camp in December 2022.

Just the tip of the Iceberg...
