A congregation wishing to disaffiliate themselves with the United Methodist sect is theologically and doctrinally divided itself according to one of its leaders. There can be no unity within a congregation unless there unless they all agree to be bound by essential doctrines. Otherwise, as it is written, a âhouse divided against itself shall not stand.â (Mt. 12:25)
