Blockades over, but Trudeau says emergency powers
needed

“The situation is still fragile, the state of emergency is
still there,” Trudeau said. .
Lawmakers in Parliament will vote Monday night
whether to allow police to continue to use emergency
powers.
Trudeau noted there are some truckers that are just
outside Ottawa that may be planning further blockades
and his public safety minister noted there was an effort
to block a border crossing in British Columbia on the
weekend.

“Even though the blockades are lifted across border
openings right now, even though things seem to be
resolving very well in Ottawa, this state of emergency is
not over,” Trudeau said. “There continues to be real
concerns about the coming days.”

The Injustices Facing J6 Protesters Are Warnings to You

The January 6 protesters were not, by themselves, a threat to
that power. But inasmuch as they represent you and me, the
government has taken it upon themselves utterly to destroy

Prisoners are subjected to a starvation diet…
Sanitation is poor;
mold and filth are everywhere.

The guards are all-powerful. They confiscate legal materials,

They have beaten prisoners for singing the National Anthem. A guard yelled “Fuck America!” and threatened to lock the prisoners down for a week if they ever sing the anthem again.

A man who tried to organize a Bible study group was beaten nearly to death, and has been left permanently blind in one eye.

This is happening, not in North Korea nor the Sudan, but in
the D.C. Department of Corrections on 14th Street NW, 12
blocks from the White House.
