Another good video clearly debunking that false idea that every believer should have the gift of tongues. Paul writes that Christians "should covet earnestly the best gifts" but then says "and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way." That more excellent way is found in 1 Cor 13. Most of what passes of today as the 'gift of tongues' is nothing more that a cheap counterfeit.

We must hold faithfully to the doctrine of Christ as laid down in scripture and John warned "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son." 2 John 1:9
