WHAT THE HELL?! It turns out that if the jury had declared Chauvin not guilty of the charges of murder and manslaughter, the feds were going to immediately arrest Chauvin after the verdict was read on charges of police brutality. So not only was the jury threatened to find Chauvin guilty by the mob, but the feds were going to arrest Chauvin again if the jury arrived at the wrong verdict. This is even worse than I initially thought.
